For students and parents in Columbia School District, learning won't end with the last day of school in June. Thanks to Josh Anderson, a physical therapist at Lancaster General Health Columbia Health Center, The Columbia Education Foundation received a grant to help start a new "summer survival" wellness and reading program which will encourage healthy lifestyle choices.
Josh was one of seven employees who secured $1000 or $5000 grants through LG Health's Helping Hands/Helping Hands Abroad program. Each spring, employees are invited to submit grant applications on behalf of not-for-profit organizations with which they volunteered during the previous year. |
